We’re grateful they’re grateful.
If you are looking for a place to really try to change your life, Muse is a great place! The staff were all so in tune with what I was going through. If I ever had a problem, or was feeling like using, I could go to them and they'd talk to me. It didn’t matter what time of the day or night it was. I had never had people who cared about me so much that weren’t family. I still stay in touch with people I went through the house with, we go to meetings and go surfing and other things I never did when I was loaded. It’s a great life, and I really never thought I would be so happy.
I’ve been through 5 other detox programs and was pretty sure none of them would ever work. I decided to give it one more try before just resigning to being a junkie the rest of my life. I found Muse and I have to say I am pretty surprised. I have over 8 months clean and it’s more time than I’ve had the last 11 years. All the groups were great, and the neuro-feedback was something I haven’t seen anywhere else. I still see my therapist and I am so happy. I am very grateful to Muse!
I never wanted to go to treatment. I always thought I could quit on my own. I tried myself dozens of times but always went back. I could stay quit for a day or two but never more. I didn’t know what to do. I thought I would die and never thought I could live without my drug. When I finally realized that I needed some help I was terrified. The staff at Muse really knew what I was going through. They had been through it themselves and showed me the way. I have never been sober this long in my life, and if I keep doing what I’m doing, what they taught me, I think I’ll stay sober.
I stayed at Muse Sober Living for two months. When I arrived I was very emotionally and spiritually sick. My drug and alcohol dependence nearly took my life on several occasions. The structure of being surrounded by others in recovery, having chores, going to meetings and never knowing when I would get tested helped me to stay sober long enough to let the program work me. Today I am grateful to say I am clean and sober for just under a year now. My life today, inside and out, is 180 degrees away in the right direction.

Muse Treatment is the top-rated outpatient drug rehab center in Mar Vista, California. We believe individualized care is important, as each person seeking treatment is unique in their needs and their goals for rehab and recovery. We offer comprehensive, integrated care that focuses on the root of addiction.
After completing our inpatient detox and rehab programs, it is recommended to transition into an outpatient program to continue receiving care, support, and therapy, while returning to your life and responsibilities like work, childcare, or school.
At Muse Treatment there is a customized plan for each client, including dual diagnosis, and a focus on the individual’s unique goals, budget, and needs. There are multiple payment options, insurance coverage, and all care is administered by trained, experienced professionals, many of whom are in recovery themselves.
Can I Go to Work and School During Rehab? Yes.
You can benefit from a flexible addiction treatment program, even if you cannot leave your home for long periods of time to attend an inpatient rehabilitation. We offer outpatient programs for those who have completed inpatient addiction treatment, for continued support and guidance from the staff.
All outpatient treatment programs are offered with or without housing. Sober living homes are recommended for those who do not live in a sober-friendly and supportive environment, and do not live with friends or family members ready and willing to provide care.
There are many benefits to outpatient drug rehab. You will receive continued support through meetings and therapy, but also have the freedom to return to your responsibilities like family or your job. With outpatient rehab, you will have many opportunities to apply the skills and coping mechanisms you learned in rehab to real-life scenarios, with structure and support from our expert staff.
Our outpatient programs are designed to introduce you to a sober community, with opportunities to forge new, genuine friendships, and find new, sober things to do. Each outpatient program is tailored to your individual needs and is designed so that you are supported in living an independent, healthy, and happy alcohol and drug-free life in recovery.
At Muse Treatment, we know that counseling and therapy are beneficial beyond inpatient rehabilitation, so our outpatient and alumni programs allow access to these services for as long as you need them.
During outpatient rehab, you will be able to live your life as usual, attending school or work, and taking care of your responsibilities, but you will also be actively working on your sobriety. At Muse, you will have access to our facilities up to 7 days a week if needed, for meetings, therapy, and alumni gatherings.
At Muse, we have a range of outpatient care, from our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), where you begin to use your recovery skills in the real world while still receiving strong support, therapy, and guidance from expert staff, to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), in which you maintain the flexibility of a normal daily routine but continue to work on your sobriety with group and individual therapy. Some Muse locations offer Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs, where the IOP occurs on a special telehealth platform, online.
At Muse Treatment, outpatient rehab can last for as long as you want it to. Our goal is to ensure every person that goes through our programs feels supported, confident, and ready to take on real-life scenarios, like temptations and stress, without the use of alcohol or drugs.
Our outpatient programs are just the beginning, as our supportive network of alumni is vast and readily accessible whenever you need them. If you one day want to volunteer, you can be a Muse Treatment alumnus yourself, and provide mentorship and support to others.
At Muse, the focus is not only on treating addictions. We believe that treating the underlying causes, and the co-occurring disorders like mental health conditions and trauma are equally important to a long-lasting and healthy recovery. We provide trauma-informed care, and all levels of care are supported, so each client can easily transition within the same facility.
Our staff is highly experienced, and about half of them are in recovery themselves. They want to help. As a patient, you will be encouraged to take all the time you need in aftercare treatment. Muse can provide referrals to trusted partners who run sober living homes, and our outpatient programs and alumni program are available to give support, therapy, and friendship for as long as you need.
