Drug Rehab That Allows You to Still Go to Work & School

It may come as a surprise to you, but 70% of people who struggle with substance abuse continue to hold a job. These individuals often do not get the help they need because they avoid taking an extended period off work to get drug addiction treatment. Fortunately, outpatient drug rehab at Muse Treatment Center is flexible enough to avoid any disruption to your work or school life. Outpatient drug rehab allows you to live at home or a sober living facility while scheduling addiction therapies and services when they best suit you, such as early morning, evenings, or weekends. This kind of flexibility allows patients to continue going to work or school full-time while attending drug rehab. Every program at Muse is personalized and we can create one that best fits your life while giving you the best chance at long-term recovery.

Benefits of Outpatient Drug Rehab

Outpatient drug rehab is usually best used as a next step down from inpatient drug rehab, however, it can be used as a starting point for those with milder addictions and who are highly motivated. When outpatient drug rehab is a good fit, it can be just as effective as residential inpatient treatment. Some of the benefits of outpatient drug rehab at Muse Treatment Center near Garden Grove include:

  • Greater flexibility of schedule – generally outpatient drug rehab allows patients to attend treatment when it is more convenient for them, allowing for little to no disruption to the school, work, or home life.
  • Outpatient treatment costs less – without room and board plus a lower number of weekly treatments, outpatient treatment costs less which may fit some individuals’ budgets or allow them to attend longer treatment programs.
  • Ability to apply skills they learn in treatment immediately in the real world – patients will have support and feedback from staff as they apply what they learn actively, which is also a better way of learning for many.
  • Patients can live at home – which means they can take care of small children, disabled loved ones, elderly family members, and even pets without having to find full-time care. They also receive support and motivation from their loved ones.
  • Seamless transition from inpatient care to the real world – outpatient treatment is a good step down as you begin to navigate your world in sobriety.
  • Helps develop responsibility and accountability – while inpatient care was easy to maintain sober, outpatient care forces you to be responsible for your recovery program and attending meetings, while also staying sober.

What to Expect During Outpatient Rehab?

Every treatment plan at Muse Treatment Center is individualized so the specifics of every outpatient program will vary. Patients will be able to live at home or in a sober living facility while being able to come and go as they, please. Individuals can expect to participate in a combination of group and individual counseling sessions, substance use disorder education, life skills training, family and couples therapy, relapse prevention planning, 12-step programming, and more.

Several levels of care exist under outpatient drug rehab including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). PHP is a more intensive program that requires patients to travel to our treatment facility 5 to 7 days a week for a  full day of programming. IOP is a flexible program that requires patients to participate in treatment 3 to 5 days a week for about 2 to 3-hour blocks of treatment. Aftercare programs are available after completing outpatient drug rehab to help patients fully transition to independent recovery maintenance.

How Long Does Outpatient for Garden Grove Residents Last with Muse?

The goal of outpatient care programs at Muse Treatment Center is to help you fully learn and implement the knowledge, skills, and resources to manage your drug addiction. Every patient’s pace through outpatient rehab will be different as you learn to manage their symptoms. Our programs are available in 30-, 60-, or 90-day lengths. Generally, more severe addictions or those with co-occurring disorders take longer to complete. Yet, your work towards recovery does not end the day you graduate from rehab.
