Our holistic treatments range from our cutting-edge neuro-rehabilitation therapy that helps to repair the damage that addiction has caused to our co-occurring mental health disorder treatment known as dual diagnosis. The need for dual diagnosis stems from the high number of individuals with an addiction that have post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, eating disorders, or any other mental health disorder that they may be suffering from and using drugs or alcohol to self-medicate.

Alcohol Detox Program
Heavy, repeatable alcohol abuse can be devastating to your body. Our bodies are able to adapt to extreme situations but not without consequence. When heavy use of alcohol leads to a physical addiction or dependence on alcohol, then it means that your body has adjusted to alcohol so much so that it now requires it to continue to function daily.
Suddenly stopping alcohol addiction when dependence is present can result in severe symptoms of withdrawal forming as your body tries to adjust to the lack of alcohol present. Alcohol withdrawal is one of the few substances that, if you stop abruptly alone, can have fatal outcomes. Thankfully, through our alcohol detox program that utilizes medication that is approved for the treatment of alcohol withdrawal, these symptoms can be safely managed while also making you much more comfortable during detox.
The symptoms that would normally be overwhelming without our medical detox program for Irvine residents during withdrawal from alcohol include early symptoms such as foggy thinking, mood swings, headaches, loss of appetite, sweating profusely, vomiting, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, and hand tremors. As the symptoms start to peak after about 48 to 72 hours include more severe symptoms such as mental confusion, seizures, irritability, hallucinations, tonic-clonic seizures, and elevated blood pressure.
In some cases, roughly 5 percent, a person may experience the most dangerous alcohol withdrawal symptoms, known medically as delirium tremens (DTs). The symptoms that occur if you were to have DTs include severe confusion, fever, dehydration, hyperactivity, high blood pressure, loss of consciousness, and crippling nervousness. While rare, DTs can come on suddenly and require immediate medical assistance because it can be fatal.
By using our alcohol detox program, you can ensure that you or someone your care about goes through detox safely. Through our medical detox program, you can prevent the more severe symptoms from becoming a medical emergency thanks to our round-the-clock medical care. Furthermore, the symptoms which range from uncomfortable to overwhelming can be reduced and effectively managed so that you don’t have to fear what will happen when you stop drinking.
Drug Detox Program
One of the things that can make quitting drug abuse extremely difficult is trying to deal with the withdrawal symptoms unaided. In cases where substance abuse has formed severe physical dependence on drugs such as heroin, prescription drugs, meth, or cocaine, the intense cravings and other common symptoms associated with each drug withdrawal can drive a person to seek relief by using drugs again because it’s too overwhelming to handle.
The medical detox program for drug addiction that we offer the residents of Irvine can make a drastic difference in your experience of withdrawal symptoms. The FDA-approved medications that we can use in our drug detox program will help you with all elements of your recovery from physical drug dependence including the intense cravings that you’d normally feel. Through our medical detox program, you won’t have to worry about what might happen when you quit because we can help you to wean off a drug, reducing the many symptoms.
Along with providing medication that is specifically designed and approved for opioid, cocaine, meth, and prescription stimulant and depressant addiction treatment, we provide 24/7 medical support. This ensures that prior medical conditions and potential complications such as dehydration and a lack of sustenance don’t interfere with your recovery process.
Most symptoms from drug withdrawal set in roughly 6 to 12 hours from the last time that you used the drug and then reach their peak intensity when you reach the 3-day mark. After about 5 to 7 days have elapsed, then the symptoms will begin to fade and normality in your bodily function will be restored, making you feel much better.
After drug detox, it’s important that you further your recovery through our inpatient or outpatient treatment programs. Drug detox is just how you begin your recovery and not a comprehensive treatment by itself. The concern is that you’ll open yourself up to not only relapse but also overdose because of the drastically lower tolerance that you have after detox. A person may take too much of a drug without realizing it and have a drug overdose.
With Muse Treatment’s drug detox for Irvine residents, the dangerous and overwhelming nature of withdrawal can be negated so that you have a real chance at recovery. You don’t have to struggle with drug withdrawal symptoms; let Muse help you to get through detox comfortably and safely.
Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Irvine
A study conducted by The Lancet revealed a surprising fact about alcohol abuse which is that out of all the commonly abused substances, alcohol is the most detrimental substance of abuse to society and the individual. It is more harmful than drugs that people usually consider more dangerous such as heroin and meth when you consider the data from The Lancet’s multicriteria analysis.
While alcohol addiction is clearly dangerous to your wellbeing, it is a condition that is treatable. Our alcohol rehab for residents of Irvine provides you with the key elements required to manage and beat an alcohol addiction. Our specialized alcohol addiction treatment programs for Irvine residents are tailor-made to your specific recovery needs. We talk to you in private about the various elements that may have led you to this point so that we can understand exactly how to best help you.
When you first start your alcohol rehab for Irvine residents, the usually-dangerous withdrawal symptoms will be treated through our alcohol detox program. This helps to ensure that you have a safe recovery during the 5-to-7-day detox period and that the symptoms which would normally be uncomfortable to overwhelming are reduced and made manageable.
With the alcohol detox behind you, the next important part of alcohol addiction recovery can begin; therapy and holistic treatment. At Muse Treatment, our alcohol rehab for residents of Irvine we provide a wealth of behavioral therapies which help you to adjust the way you react to stress and triggers, undercover and help you to heal from sensitive areas, help to incentivize drug abstinence and improve your life skills so that it will be easier to avoid relapse. Some of the behavioral therapies that we offer include motivational incentives, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
Muse takes alcohol addiction treatment a step further, too. Along with evidence-based behavioral therapies, we also offer holistic treatments because we understand the need to help our clients as a whole to help them to improve their lives, ultimately helping to prevent relapse. For example, our neuro-rehabilitation and neurofeedback therapy can help to enhance the healing process and repair damage and behaviors that have been affected by alcohol abuse.
Medically-assisted treatment (MAT) is offered at Muse Treatment for Irvine residents. It is an effective program where you’ll be able to use medication alongside behavioral therapy and counseling as long-term alcohol treatment. It can be highly effective at preventing relapse as the medications used can reduce cravings and even prevent the effects of alcohol.
Drug Rehab for Residents of Irvine
An estimated 8.1 million people in America had an addiction to drugs such as meth, heroin, cocaine, prescription pain relievers, prescription stimulants, and prescription stimulants. While millions may suffer from a substance use disorder alone, the good news is that you don’t have to. Muse Treatment and Recovery Center is the ideal place to discover a new way of life that is free from the struggles of drug abuse.
Our drug rehab for residents of Irvine offers you a personalized treatment plan that conclusively covers every aspect of effective drug addiction treatment. One of the reasons why people find it difficult to quit drugs are the intense cravings and withdrawal symptoms that take hold after 6 to 24 hours have passed. To effectively deal with withdrawal symptoms, Muse offers a medical detox program that allows you to overcome these symptoms with FDA-approved medication combined with medical support to make sure that you recover safely.
At Muse, we understand that there are factors that have led to your drug abuse. It’s not that you just made bad choices but factors such as your biology, environment, and development are the true causes of your situation. We aim to explore these areas with you so that we can provide you with therapy and treatment to heal and overcome these issues.
Among the factors of substance abuse are co-occurring mental health disorders. For example, you may be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from an event in your past and because you haven’t received professional treatment for it, you ended up using prescription pain relievers to self-medicate. While it may have offered short-term relief from your PTSD symptoms, eventually it leads to opioid addiction and a host of new problems while the symptoms of PTSD still affect you.
Muse Treatment and Recovery Center can explore the possibility of co-occurring mental health disorders and then provide you with an effective treatment that can manage it. This is called dual diagnosis treatment and it will run alongside your addiction treatment so that it doesn’t affect the outcome of your long-term abstinence from drug use.
Our comprehensive drug addiction treatment, thanks to our interdisciplinary approach, allows us to provide you with life-changing treatment that nurtures a sustainable and fulfilling life. Let Muse provide you with a safe space to heal your mind, body, and spirit.
How Much Does Rehab Cost?
Muse Treatment’s rehab programs for Irvine residents can be affordable. Muse has a range of treatment programs and treatment settings that allow us to provide rehab programs that will fit any budget. Our goal is to be able to help any person seeking help for their addiction to drugs or alcohol.
The factors that can impact the cost of rehab include the treatment setting which relates to whether it is an inpatient or outpatient program. Outpatient rehab is the more affordable option since there are many costs such as food and housing that can be cut out. Of course, the level of care and the types of treatments that are offered in our inpatient and outpatient programs remain the same.
Another factor that can help to reduce cost is the types of therapies that you’ll be involved with such as only using the core behavioral therapies or combining them with many of our holistic treatment programs. Your health insurance can make a significant difference in the amount that you’ll need to pay after deductibles. All ACA policies should have coverage for certain treatments that you’d receive at rehab but other treatments are not covered so it’s important to understand just what your insurance covers.
Muse Treatment will be able to discuss your cost of rehab once we have a better understanding of what types of treatments will be effective for you as an individual with individual needs. Once you are happy with the cost of rehab then treatment can commence. Muse strives to provide affordable treatment and we will have a treatment solution for your budget needs.
How Long is Detox?
Drug and alcohol detox is the first treatment that you’ll be involved with at rehab because it is the most pertinent and immediate thing that needs to be revolved. Our medical detox program will make the experience far easier, but exactly how long does the process of detox from alcohol and drugs last?
Different substances, once you’ve become dependent on them, will take different lengths of time to be able to fully detox. The severity of your addiction, which is often controlled by how long you’ve been using the substance, how much of it you used regularly, and your biological differences are the factors that will dictate the exact timeframe of your detox.
Having said that, the general length of detox from drugs and alcohol takes between 5 and 7 days. In most cases, the start of your withdrawal symptoms will be roughly 6 to 12 hours since last using the substance. From there, the symptoms will begin to intensify and finally reach their peak after around 3 days have passed. By around the fifth day of detox, many of the symptoms will have dissipated and if they are not fully under control by this point, then it may take roughly 7 days for you to feel normal again.
How Long is Rehab?
Treatment for addiction can take as long as you need to be ready and comfortable to return to mainstream life and not return to substance abuse. The National Institute on Drug Abuse found that if you spend at least 3 months in rehab and aftercare programs such as support groups then the evidence-based treatments can have a lasting effect.
Muse Treatment for Irvine residents has a range of outpatient and inpatient programs that can satisfy your recovery needs. Our programs range from 30 to 90 days, offering you short-term and long-term rehab options. Our aftercare services – which include our alumni events, 12-step support groups, and sober living homes – can provide you with a way to be supported and guided after your rehab program.
Whether you partake in a 30-day inpatient program followed by a 30-day outpatient program or spend 90 days in our inpatient program followed by 60 days in our outpatient program, Muse can provide you with rehab programs that are long enough to have a lasting effect. Our aftercare programs can be used for months or years to ensure that you have the support required to get to long-term sobriety.
30 Day Short Term Rehab
Our short-term rehab for alcohol and drug addiction is our 30-day rehab for Irvine residents. It is the shortest of our programs available that have all of the elements needed for effective addiction treatment. Our 30-day rehab is offered as an outpatient program as well as an inpatient or residential program.
Muse’s 30-day inpatient rehab is an ideal way to receive intensive treatment for addiction that removes you from outside influences such as drug-abusing friends so that all of your focus can be on your recovery. Your 30 days in our rehab will be spent attending various treatments starting with a detox program which is followed by holistic treatments and behavioral therapy.
In our 30-day outpatient program, you’ll be able to benefit from the same programs as in our inpatient program but instead of staying at our facility and taking part in daily treatments, you will continue to live at home, go to work or school, and then take part in your rehab programs at a time that you’re able to throughout the week and weekend.
After your short-term rehab for Irvine residents, aftercare programs will be available for you to continue with your treatment and support. The more time you dedicate to your recovery the less likely you are to relapse. Addiction treatment is about the management of the mental health disorder known as addiction over the long term.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
Long-term rehab is perhaps the best way for many people to get the most out of addiction treatment. It provides you with enough time doing intensive treatments for it to have a lasting impact on you in the months and years to come. Muse Treatment’s long-term rehab programs come in the form of our 60- and 90-day programs.
Both our 60- and 90-day rehab for residents of Irvine are available in both residential and outpatient options. Long-term inpatient rehab is the most intensive form of treatment for alcohol and drug addiction because you allow yourself 60 to 90 days in a residential facility, dedicating every day to your healing and recovery. It gives you the time needed to solidify the relapse prevention strategies and time to heal your mind, body, and spirit.
Whether through our long-term inpatient or outpatient rehab for residents of Irvine, Muse can give you the platform on which to create a new life that promotes abstinence, fulfillment, and sustainability. Our therapeutic environment together with the care and support that our healthcare professionals provide will be the catalyst for positive, lasting change in your life.

Our couples rehab for Irvine residents allows you and your partner to be in a rehab program together, benefitting from the evidence-based behavioral therapies, holistic treatment programs, and other therapies that are designed to strengthen your relationship such as joint therapy. The issues that may be present that have been spurred on by addiction can be dealt with and unhealthy barriers in your relationship such as codependence can be explored and treated in our rehab programs.
You and your partner can improve each other’s recovery in our couples rehab for residents of Irvine. Research shows that couples who get treatment for addiction together help each other to stay in rehab for longer, thus improving the effectiveness of treatment and long-term sobriety.
Pet-Friendly Rehab
At Muse, we have created a supportive community that helps you through recovery and after your rehab program. But we also understand just how important emotional support can be during recovery and the more support you have, the better your recovery will become. Muse tries to improve our client’s experience wherever possible and one of those ways is by allowing you to bring your pet with you to rehab.
Our pet-friendly rehab for Irvine residents makes it possible to bring pets like your dog with you to rehab so that they can be a bright light in your recovery, offering your additional emotional support. Equine therapy, which is the use of animals such as horses to help a person recover from addiction, shows the value of having an animal to love and share a connection with during recovery. Allowing pets in our rehab is just one of the many ways that Muse goes a step beyond to help you in your recovery goals.
Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?
Insurance coverage for rehab is part of every ACA plan. This means that if you have an insurance plan from the marketplace, then it should have coverage for rehab. ACA plans usually provide coverage for specific treatments at rehab such as medical detox and a certain amount of outpatient rehab.
Many private health insurance plans will also have coverage for rehab but since they aren’t required by law to provide coverage for rehab, the specifics of your plan will need to be explored to find out exactly what you have coverage for, what your deductibles are, and what your out-of-pocket expenses might be.
Muse accepts most insurance plans and if you would like to verify your coverage then complete our simple online form or call us so that we can help you to verify your coverage.
