What to Expect During Rehab?

After our in-depth intake interview, where we screen for mental illness and other issues that may require dual diagnosis treatments, you will stop drinking and taking drugs. At Muse Treatment, we offer a medically assisted therapy to get you through detoxing as easily and safely as possible. Our detox and rehab programs are tailored to each unique person’s individual addiction, body, metabolism, and circumstances.

After detox, we offer 24-hour medical and emotional support, as you transition into our inpatient rehabilitation program. Rehab takes place in one of our comfortable, home-like, community-oriented facilities. This is where you will take the time to learn about yourself and your goals for your future. You will gain the tools and skills you need to live an independent, self-directed life, without using drugs or alcohol.

At Muse Treatment, we offer counselling, not only for addiction, but also health, life skills, and even vocational training. Our wide variety of therapy options mean that you will find something that will work for you. Everybody is different, and each person will respond better to some options than others. We offer one-on-one psychotherapy, family therapy, couples counselling, experiential therapy, behavioral therapy, and more.

The facility is community oriented, and you will be surrounded by peers who are in a similar situation to you. We have game nights, movie nights, sports, off-site outings, and other opportunities to make new, sober connections, and learn new hobbies or pastimes that don’t involve drinking alcohol.

Once you finish your time in residential treatment, you will move on to an outpatient program. This can be paired with a sober living home, if needed. Our thriving community of alumni will often hold gatherings and meetings that you can attend, fostering a life-long sober support group. Once you join us at Muse, you will have access to the therapies and amenities you will need to lower your risk of relapsing.

How Long Is Alcohol Rehab?

The timeline for alcohol rehab is different for every person. Detox generally takes around 6 to 10 days, and then there are many paths you can take. We offer 30-, 60, and 90-day options for residential inpatient treatment, and we can customize a plan to fit your needs. We always encourage our clients to remain in treatment for as long as they need, because your comfort and confidence is important as you get ready to transition to outpatient care. A longer stay in a residential program will lower the risk of relapse.

30 Day Rehab

In our 30-day residential rehabilitation program, you will have a full month to focus on yourself and your recovery. Our community-oriented facility has structured daily living amongst peers, and empathetic and highly trained staff. We offer a variety of therapies, exercise facilities, fresh and healthy food and nutritional support.  You will have access to 24-hour medical and emotional support, and will gain the skills you need to live independently, without alcohol or drugs.

60 Day Rehab

Our 60-day rehabilitation program gives you the time you need to work and focus on yourself and learn to navigate life while sober, in a safe, community-oriented environment. We have gatherings, diet and nutritional support, day trips, and game and movie nights. We have the option for couples rehab, and pets are allowed. Our clinical staff is available 24 hours a day.

90 Day Rehab

Long-term rehab can last for 90 days if you wish. It is recommended to stay longer if you have a history of relapse, as the more time spent in treatment, therapy, and away from old habits and temptations, the higher the chance of a long-term, successful recovery.

Benefits of Sober Living with Muse

Beyond our detox and inpatient programs, Muse offers options for outpatient care for flexible addiction treatment while at home, and for further support for clients once they leave our residential program, including:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program – This program is recommended for people who are transitioning back to life after inpatient rehab. You can use your recovery skills in real-world situations, while still receiving strong support and guidance from our staff.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program – This program is excellent for those who are employed and cannot leave their job, or who have children or other important commitments. You can work on sobriety through meetings and therapy, but otherwise maintain a regular schedule.
  • Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program – This is the Intensive Outpatient Program, but for those who do not live near a Muse facility. All meetings and therapy take place via a telehealth platform online. Please note, VIOP is only offered at select Muse locations.
  • Sober Living Homes – Muse can offer referrals to sober living homes near you, especially important for those who do not feel that they have a supportive and sober-friendly home to return to after rehab. Sober living homes can give you the structure and rules needed to keep you on track as you return to your life.
  • Alumni Community – Our voluntary alumni community is strong and vibrant, and often holds gatherings, trips and outings. With our alumni support, you will never have to be alone in recovery. If you want to, you can even volunteer to mentor and peer-support other people in recovery.

Muse has a large network of care in locations around the country, with a variety of setting to suit your needs and preferences. You can choose a location near your home, or you can choose a country retreat in Texas, or to be near the beach in California. At Muse, everything from the location to the therapy to the length of your stay is customized to best suit your individual needs. Our staff truly cares, and they are the reason our facilities have a loving, non-judgmental environment, where healing can take place.
